“There’s no such thing as a bad audience…”
Attributed to Peter Brook and Robert Stephens.

Let me tell you a story from my Drama School Days
i had helped to devise and direct the piece
It was about Victorian England…bits of it were about bullying at school
That meant a lot to me
We had already performed it a couple of times
I was doing the inter scene bits…like Victorian Music hall…i was the funny man
Guy - Talking about Greta Thunberg, when she’s angry and her brow goes. She’s impassioned. it’s anger but it’s coming from a place of care. She’s not angry with her audience. She’s angry with the world and the situation. He then goes on to talk about TIE
I did some rough schools in Elephant and Castle, where there were literally pigeons flying above the dinner hall, as we were performing, shitting on the stage…and a lot of us felt angry about it and we became angry with the audience…and they killed us. You can feel lots of things and put it down the lens, but hating your audience is never gonna work…you’re not gonna win good connections that way.
