Audience of One - This One’s for you Mate
PUT THE SECRET INTO ENERGY
Where is the lens in Selfie Mode?
Selecting Cinematic Mode in Selfie Mode
Selecting 4k in Selfie Mode and Why
Turn The Camera Round - what help does this give you? Let’s call it Rear Camera Mode
Practise really missing the camera - do it so you look as goofy as possible in both Selfie and Rear Camera Mode
Now practise Look Away Look Back (Scott be able to act out the scene from Heat - remember, you’re not acting, you’re practising Finding the Lens)
Put your finger over the camera - now it might be dirty…so we need to remove any objects…
Let’s move on to O
As a reminder….use a finger to find the lens
Put some tape next to the lens to remind you where it is - are you surprised that this is also a pro tip
Give it a clean - I find this a helpful, mindful thing to do before you go for a take - it’s a bit like when the make up person comes up to you before a take…it’s gentle, thoughtful but you feel super ready to go
Clean the Lens and Check Where Your Head Is At - do you have anything growing out of your head?
Whether you’re looking or not…engage
Ex: Imagine there is a piece of string and you don’t want to let it drop
U is for Understand Your Audience
I asked “who is your audience?” Everyone out there
My clients
My customers
My team
It’s a trick question because the answer is always an audience of one - my friend Matt says that he learned about moments where two people on a sofa would turn to each other and say “it’s good isn’t it”

This comes from an exercise we did at The Guildhall. We had to sit in front of class and…think of a secret..
I remember it because my pal Matt came up to me afterwards and said “you never did, did you?”
I remember it to this day…
